I recently posted a journal that was stating my mothers laptop had been compromised severely, making it the second one out of total commission. Note that this journal will be more aggressive then the last one about the twilight debacle.

To put it quite accurate, I had been informed about the laptops status a couple days ago. To be quite frank I should have posted an update about this long ago...
Data doctors had not been pleased with us spending over $100 to get the laptop sent in, JUST SENT IN, it was not enough for them to double up the charge to nearly past $300 just to have the operating system repaired or at least backed up so we could get it repaired after.

Spoken for themselves, Data Doctors' did not carry their own software resources to achieve any kind of repair, so they added in another $200 just to have their customers pay for repair supplies THEY never had in the first place. As a matter of fact, the shop was very scarce, so it's obvious that they never even had corporate owned tools and back up's to begin with.

Now I understand the whole process can be pricey, but when I am talking about this particular laptop, a 2005 dinosaur gives you an idea on how fucking cheap it should be to repair it.

On another related note, it was given back to us with a nice, snake-like scratch on the back. I've seen how these guys store their submitted hardware, it is not very clean or professional...
